John Upshur Waring wrote this letter from Versailles, January 24, 1838, to former Kentucky Governor James T. Morehead concerning a legal case. Waring apparently retained Morehead as his attorney to represent him in a legal matter and the note refers to a petition Waring wished Morehead to further.
